L.A. Care in Los Angeles, CA, is seeking a Senior Director, Chief Provider Engagement and Performance to lead strategic partnerships with providers, focusing on cost, quality, access, and member experience.

The role drives performance through structured engagement models, dashboards, and cross‑functional collaboration, with a strong emphasis on data‑driven improvement and regulatory alignment.

Qualifications

• At least 10 years of progressively responsible experience within health plans, hospital systems, provider organizations, IPAs, or healthcare consulting environments.
• At least 10 years of leading staff or people management experience.
• At least 5 years leading provider engagement, provider performance, contracting, and network management functions.
• Experience with Medi‑Cal, Medicare Advantage, IPAs, medical groups, capitated arrangements, and value‑based incentive designs.

Responsibilities

• Leads a comprehensive provider engagement strategy to elevate relationships to strategic partnerships with shared accountability.
• Develops and implements a holistic provider performance management framework with quality, utilization, cost, and access metrics.
• Advances operational effectiveness by addressing claims payment, prior authorization, referrals, credentialing, and data accuracy.
• Defines and manages value‑based programs and ensures execution of improvement initiatives with cross‑functional teams.
