Job summary

MRINetwork is seeking a Senior Director of Procurement in the Dallas area to lead procurement strategy for a growing portfolio of hyperscale data center construction projects. This role demands deep knowledge of GC relationships, OFCI equipment, and long-lead procurement, with the ability to scale processes and drive vendor performance.

Qualifications

• Significant procurement leadership experience in data center construction or large-scale infrastructure.
• Deep understanding of construction procurement and GC relationships.
• Experience sourcing OFCI and long-lead equipment.
• Ability to build procurement processes and infrastructure, not just operate within an existing function.
• Strong contract negotiation, strategic sourcing, and supplier-management experience.

Title: Senior Director, Procurement

Location: Texas (Dallas Preferred)

Our client, a global owner/operator and developer of hyperscale data centers, is seeking a Senior Director, Procurementto help lead procurement strategy across a growing portfolio of mission-critical construction projects.

This is a highly visible leadership role for someone who understands data center construction, can build scalable procurement processes, and is comfortable operating both strategically and in the details.

Key Responsibilities

• Develop and execute procurement strategies for General Contractors, OFCI equipment, and major data center construction packages
• Lead sourcing, RFP/RFQ processes, supplier selection, commercial negotiations, and contract development
• Build and maintain strategic relationships with General Contractors, OEMs, equipment manufacturers, and other key suppliers
• Develop procurement processes, governance, workflows, and standards to support continued growth
• Partner closely with Construction, Engineering, Operations, Commercial, Finance, and Legal
• Ensure procurement activities are aligned with project schedules, CAPEX budgets, and Ready for Service dates
• Manage supplier performance through KPIs, SLAs, business reviews, and ongoing performance management
• Identify and mitigate supply-chain risks including long-lead equipment, supplier capacity, cost escalation, and schedule constraints
• Support development of a scalable and resilient supplier network across multiple markets
• Lead, coach, and develop members of the procurement team

Ideal Background

• Significant procurement experience within data centers, mission-critical construction, or large-scale infrastructure
• Strong understanding of construction procurement and General Contractor relationships
• Experience sourcing and managing OFCI and long-lead equipment
• Proven ability to build procurement processes and infrastructure rather than simply operate within an established function
• Strong contract negotiation, strategic sourcing, and supplier-management experience
• Comfortable getting into the details of scopes, bids, contracts, supplier issues, and project requirements
• Previous General Contractor experience is highly desirable
• Experience within a hyperscale environment is a plus
• Strong executive presence and cross-functional leadership skills
