I am working with a Global consulting construction firm, who are looking for a Senior Procurement Manager to join the team.
The candidate will oversee the strategic, procurement and supply chain management functions, ensuring efficient and effective acquisition of goods and services for major data center clients.
Core Services & Reporting
- Attend client design, project, site and other meetings as necessary.
- Prepare regular supply chain reports, advising on decisions and obtaining authorizations.
- Oversee weekly progress and dashboard reporting, documenting risks, challenges, opportunities and milestones.
- Advise on identifying and establishing work categories related to long leading equipment.
- Conduct spends and market analysis, identifying cost savings opportunities.
- Evaluate potential suppliers based on client criteria and manage the supplier selection process.
- Support the formal onboarding of suppliers through Master Purchase Agreements.
Procurement Planning
- Collaborate with project and client cost teams to track procurement baseline budgets and delivery.
- Review existing client processes related to direct procurement.
- Seek client approval for supplier selection and tender lists.
RFP Management
- Collaborate with stakeholders to define RFP scope, requirements and evaluation criteria.
- Distribute RFP packs to pre-qualified suppliers and oversee the submission process.
- Evaluate supplier proposals and support contract negotiations up to and including agreement and contract execution.
- Collaborate with clients to understand and develop supplier relationship strategies.
- Establish and track supplier performance evaluation processes and KPI’s.
- Facilitate issue resolution and continuous improvement with suppliers.
Contract Administration
- Attend change management meetings, providing contractual support.
- Track and resolve claims in collaboration with the project team.
- Oversee the contract lifecycle process, ensuring timely renewals and extensions.
Other Duties
- Maintains and produces cost and status reports that meet the Clients objectives.
- May manage and mentor an internal team of project support.
- Contributes to team performance by collaboration and effective communication.
- Contributes to and understands the clients desired project outcomes, identifies opportunities to add value to accomplish the desired outcomes.
- Adds to team effort by accomplishing other duties as assigned.

Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree preferred in Supply Chain Management, Quantity Surveying, related field, or relevant experience.
- Proven track-record in supply chain and preferred experience in a leadership role.
- Strong negotiation, leadership, and team alignment skills.
- Proficient in process execution/development using software tools.
- Excellent analytical and strategic thinking abilities.
- Effective communication and interpersonal skills.
- Knowledge of data center procurement, contract agreements, and product/service knowledge.
- Continuous improvement mindset and application. Experience with large capital projects or programs.
