Job summary

Kinectrics AES, Inc. seeks an experienced Power Systems Engineer to lead investigations and studies for transmission and distribution assets in North America.

The role focuses on transient studies, interconnection assessments, and NERC-related analysis, with opportunities to mentor junior staff and develop new business relationships. You will travel as needed within the US, Canada, and beyond, work within a diverse team, and contribute to projects from design through deployment.

Qualifications

• Four-year degree in electrical engineering; MS in Power Systems or related field preferred.
• PE designation (multi-state) preferred and legal work status in US.
• Willingness to travel within US/Canada and beyond for projects.
• Strong knowledge of power system studies, interconnection, NERC and related standards.

Responsibilities

• Identify and secure consulting opportunities for power system studies (70/30 win/execute split).
• Plan, quote, and manage projects including contracts, costs, scheduling, and resources.
• Review and author technical reports; provide engineering oversight and mentoring.
• Participate in workshops and conferences; travel as required.
