Job summary

NEI Electric Power Engineering seeks a Team Lead for Power System Studies to guide a skilled group delivering complex electrical studies for utilities and renewable clients across North America. You will establish standards, mentor engineers, improve workflows, and expand our fast-growing practice.

The role combines technical excellence with people leadership, shaping project delivery and client relationships, while advancing safety and quality expectations across projects.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering or Electrical Engineering Technology; electric power option preferred.
• 5+ years of relevant engineering or leadership experience.
• FE is required; PE preferred.
• Knowledge of medium and low voltage distribution, switchgear, MCCs, and instrumentation.
• Experience with Power System analysis software packages listed in the job ad.

Responsibilities

• Performs and manages detailed electrical studies for utility clients.
• Coaches and mentors team members to support career development.
• Reviews and QA/QC electrical studies for design teams.
• Provides regulatory compliance services across project phases.
• Establishes study templates, methodologies, and best practices for electrical system studies.
• Acts as SME for study software questions and troubleshooting.
• Supports design work including diagrams, wiring, grounding, and equipment specs.
