Job summary

Kinectrics AES, Inc. is seeking a Senior Director of Power System Studies to lead and grow our consulting and engineering efforts in transmission and distribution projects.

This leadership role focuses on securing work, planning complex projects, and delivering high-quality studies and reports for utilities across North America. The position requires deep expertise in power systems, extensive project management, and the ability to develop new business with US and Canadian utilities.

Qualifications

• Four-year degree in electrical engineering; master's or higher in power systems preferred.
• PE designation (multi-state) preferred.
• Ability to work in US and Canada; visa support available.
• Approximately 10 years of experience in power systems.
• Strong knowledge of power system studies and standards (IEEE, IEC, ANSI).

Responsibilities

• Identify and secure consulting and engineering work in power system studies.
• Plan and manage projects, contracts, costs, scheduling, and resources.
• Oversee analysis, reports, and mentoring of junior engineers.
• Travel to client sites in US/Canada and abroad as needed.
• Represent the company at workshops and conferences.
