Job summary

Transamerica Corporation is seeking a Senior Director for Pooled Plans Product Development to lead the pooled plan roadmap and cross-functional collaboration. The role focuses on accelerating growth, defining service models, and aligning pricing, marketing, and operations with strategic objectives.

The position requires deep retirement services expertise, strategic leadership, and a proven ability to socialize recommendations to senior leadership. Travel is moderate as needed.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Business, Finance, Economics, or related field.
• Twelve years of experience in retirement services, product management, or financial services with deep pooled plan expertise.
• Eight years of management experience leading and developing teams.
• Strong leadership through coaching and performance management.
• Proven ability to develop and execute product strategy and roadmap initiatives.
• Excellent communication and presentation skills.

Responsibilities

• Develop and maintain strategy for accelerating pooled plan growth and service model for all pooled plan product types.
• Collaborate across functional areas to understand and document model gaps and during RFP and pre-sales process.
• Analyze market trends, data and competitive landscape to discern pooled plan product opportunities and translate market conditions into development.
• Make and socialize recommendations to product leadership and internal teams on strategic decisions (features, positioning, profitability, milestones).
• Ensure product ideas are efficiently sourced and prioritized with cross-functional teams.
• Lead development and maintenance of large institutional PEP relationships aligned to strategic objectives.
• Collaborate with distributors, Marketing, Finance, IT and other stakeholders to plan features, profitability, and launch dates.
• Provide reporting on Pooled Plan business and ongoing initiatives.
• Act as retirement business SME for all pooled plan products (PEPs, MEPS, Exchange plans).
• Foster a culture of collaboration, transparency, quality delivery, accountability, and continuous improvement.
