Job summary

Uniphar | Medical is seeking a Senior Director, Business Development to drive growth in healthcare communications and education. This role emphasizes hunter instincts, relationship building, and strategic problem-solving over traditional sales.

The candidate should bring ideas to clients, discuss brand strategy, omnichannel engagement, AI-enabled solutions, and educational initiatives that create tangible value for brands, HCPs, and patients.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Business, Marketing, Communications, Healthcare, or related field.
• 5+ years of successful business development or pharma agency experience.
• Proven success selling strategic marketing and digital solutions to pharma/biotech companies.
• Existing relationships with pharmaceutical marketing organizations preferred.
• Entrepreneurial, curious, and creative with strategic mindset.

Responsibilities

• Develop and execute a strategic growth plan to exceed revenue goals.
• Identify and engage Professional Brand Managers, Consumer Brand Managers, and Brand Directors.
• Build executive relationships by understanding client objectives and needs.
• Lead discovery conversations to uncover opportunities for educational, digital, AI-enabled, and engagement solutions.
• Proactively recommend strategies to improve HCP engagement and patient education.
• Collaborate with strategy, medical, creative, and digital teams to tailor solutions.
• Present capabilities and concepts that differentiate the agency.
• Lead end-to-end BD process from prospecting to contract.
• Forecast and manage a healthy sales pipeline; represent at conferences.
