Baystate Health seeks a visionary Director of Surgical Suites in Springfield, MA to lead the inpatient OR and Chestnut Surgery Center. You will partner with surgeons, anesthesia teams, and executive leaders to drive operational excellence, safety, and high-quality patient outcomes.

You will develop strategy, manage budgets, mentor leaders, and lead system-wide perioperative initiatives in a fast-paced, high-volume environment.

Qualifications

• Master's degree required; RN licensure in MA; BLS CPR; CNOR certification; 3+ years in Surgical Services; 3+ years in leadership; Lean/process improvement experience; budgeting, forecasting, and performance metrics.

Responsibilities

• Oversee Operating Room Nursing and Anesthesia Technician services for Baystate Medical Center and Chestnut Surgery Center.
• Collaborate with executive leadership, physicians, and Baystate Health leaders to advance perioperative initiatives.
• Develop long‑term strategic plans, forecast service needs, and support growth of surgical volumes.
• Lead Lean initiatives, optimize workflow, and improve patient throughput.
• Promote quality, safety, and regulatory compliance across perioperative services.
• Mentor and develop managers, nurses, and technical staff; support talent development.
