Baystate Health seeks a Director of Surgical Suites to provide strategic and operational leadership across Baystate Medical Center and Chestnut Surgery Center, overseeing 36 operating rooms and ensuring safe, efficient, high-quality surgical care.

The role drives quality, safety, and operational improvements, leads surgical services leaders, and partners with surgeons, anesthesia teams, and hospital leadership to advance patient safety, regulatory readiness, and technology modernization,

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in nursing is required.
• Master's degree is preferred.
• Minimum of three years in surgical services and/or OR nursing.
• Minimum of three years of leadership/supervisory experience is strongly preferred.

Responsibilities

• Provide strategic and operational leadership across Baystate Medical Center and Chestnut Surgery Center overseeing 36 operating rooms while ensuring safe, efficient, and high-quality surgical care.
• Drive quality, safety, and operational improvement initiatives across Surgical Services, leveraging data, metrics, and best practices.
• Oversee daily surgical operations, staffing, workforce planning, resource utilization, equipment, and budgets with efficient patient flow.
• Lead, mentor, and develop surgical services leaders and staff, fostering collaboration and continuous improvement.
• Build strong relationships with surgeons, anesthesia teams, medical staff, and hospital leadership as a trusted partner.
