Baystate Health is seeking a Director of Surgical Suites to provide strategic and operational leadership across its 36-operating-room network in Western Massachusetts. The role emphasizes improving quality, safety, and efficiency while partnering with surgeons and hospital leadership to advance perioperative care.

The ideal candidate leads through change, mentors surgical services leaders, and drives alignment with regulatory readiness and technology modernization, including Oracle platform

Qualifications

Bachelor’s degree in nursing is required; master’s degree is preferred.
Minimum 3 years of experience in surgical services and/or OR nursing.
Minimum 3 years of leadership/supervisory experience is strongly preferred.

Responsibilities

Provide strategic and operational leadership across Baystate Medical Center and Chestnut Surgery Center overseeing 36 operating rooms.
Drive quality, safety, and operational improvement initiatives across Surgical Services using data and metrics.
Oversee daily surgical operations, staffing, workforce planning, resource utilization, equipment, and departmental budgets.
