Lumen is shaping the AI-ready connectivity era. As a senior lead communications manager, you will guide how product and technology strategy is communicated across the company, partnering with Product, Technology, PR and Marketing to turn complex topics into clear narratives.

You will own large programs, develop executive-ready content, and advise senior leaders on timing and messaging, with a focus on driving adoption, transparency, and alignment during transformative initiatives.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Communications, Journalism, Public Relations, Marketing, English, or a related field.
• Typically 8+ years of relevant experience, or 6+ years with a Master’s degree.
• Substantial experience in internal, executive, change, product, or technology communications.
• Exceptional writing, editing, and storytelling skills; translate complex topics clearly.
• Proven experience advising senior leaders and developing executive‑level communications.
• Experience leading large‑scale communication strategies for transformational initiatives.
• Strong project and stakeholder management; navigate ambiguity and competing priorities.
• Proficiency with Microsoft 365 and collaboration platforms; AI‑powered productivity tools.

Responsibilities

• Serve as a trusted communications advisor to product and technology leaders, advising on messaging and employee engagement.
• Shape executive narratives to articulate vision, strategy, priorities, and progress to employees.
• Develop executive presentations, town halls, keynote materials, and internal thought leadership.
• Prepare leaders for high‑visibility moments and organizational announcements.
• Drive communications that articulate long‑term product strategy, innovation priorities, and AI vision.
• Translate complex topics into clear narratives for a broad internal audience.
• Identify stories and proof points that support understanding of strategic direction.
• Lead communications for enterprise‑wide initiatives from planning through execution.
• Build integrated plans to support awareness, adoption, and alignment during change.
• Anticipate questions and develop FAQs to increase clarity and transparency.
• Manage multiple programs with long‑range planning and fast announcements.
• Collaborate with Marketing, Strategy, HR, and PR to ensure consistent messaging across channels.
