Job summary

Stanbridge University invites a strategic, hands-on Director of Information & Security to lead cybersecurity, infrastructure, and enterprise technology operations on the Irvine campus. You will align security with academic needs, manage risk, and drive modernization while maintaining compliance and resilience.

This on-site role requires 7+ years of IT leadership, expertise in IAM, cloud, incident response, and vendor management, plus a passion for higher education.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Information Technology, Cybersecurity, Computer Science, Information Systems, or related field.
• Master's degree in Cybersecurity, Information Systems, Business Administration, or related field preferred.
• 15+ years combined IT leadership or senior cybersecurity experience is desirable in higher education or regulated environments.

Responsibilities

• Lead cybersecurity strategy, roadmap, and security posture for the university.
• Develop and maintain security policies, standards, and procedures.
• Oversee vulnerability management, endpoint security, threat detection, SIEM, patching, testing, and incident response.
• Direct security investigations, remediation, and breach response efforts.
• Manage IAM, MFA, privileged access, and account governance; ensure access controls.
• Communicate security posture to executives and stakeholders; drive risk-based decisions.
