Job summary

Inspire Medical Systems seeks an accomplished senior accounting leader to direct external reporting and technical accounting in a fast-growing medical device company. You will ensure high-quality SEC filings and robust disclosure practices while guiding cross-functional teams through complex financial analyses.

The role emphasizes collaboration with Finance, Legal, and Investor Relations, advancing SOX controls, and shaping accounting policy for strategic growth.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
• CPA certification required.

Responsibilities

• Lead the preparation, review, and filing of all SEC reporting requirements, including Forms 10-K, 10-Q, 8-K, proxy disclosures, and earnings release support.
• Oversee the external reporting process, including calendars, disclosure controls, review procedures, documentation standards, and filing deadlines.
• Research, evaluate, and document technical accounting conclusions under U.S. GAAP and SEC reporting requirements, including memoranda for significant or complex transactions.
• Monitor and implement new accounting standards and SEC regulations, ensuring compliance and effective adoption.
• Advise Finance leadership on technical accounting matters, policy development, and disclosure considerations.
• Coordinate with Legal, Investor Relations, FP&A, Tax, Treasury, Stock Administration, Operations, and other functions to ensure accurate external disclosures.
• Assist in preparing Audit Committee and Board materials related to financial reporting and internal controls.
• Oversee SOX compliance and disclosure controls and procedures.
• Drive continuous improvement in reporting quality, process efficiency, and governance; mentor and develop team members.
