Job summary

Cushman & Wakefield seeks a Director of Engineering to provide senior leadership and technical support to our engineering teams across regions. You will drive policies for all types of buildings and oversee mechanical and electrical systems to ensure consistent product delivery and top quality.

The role requires overseeing inspections, energy audits, and compliance programs, while leading a team of engineers and coordinating with market leadership on workforce development and project performance.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• 10+ years of engineering experience with supervisory responsibility in a commercial property setting.
• Appropriate licenses/permits may be required per market.
• Knowledge of EMS programming; familiarity with fire alarm systems and life safety standards.

Responsibilities

• Develop and oversee the platform for property inspections and surveys, including policy compliance and energy audits.
• Drive compliance with life safety programs and procedures across markets and regions.
• Evaluate building automation, energy management and control systems; provide VE recommendations.
• Lead and develop engineers; oversee performance evaluations for direct reports.
• Coordinate seminars and knowledge sharing for city-level and regional markets.
• Ensure sound construction/project management and commissioning practices across the national portfolio.
