Job summary

MENTOR is seeking a Senior Director, Development to lead a comprehensive fundraising strategy and a high-performing team. You will cultivate institutional and individual giving, manage major donor programs, and align fundraising with organizational priorities.

Qualifications

• 8+ years of experience leading and growing the development function in a fast-paced nonprofit
• Proven track record of managing a multi-million-dollar fundraising program
• Exceptional relationship-building with donors, foundations, and corporations
• Experience soliciting major donors and securing gifts of $25,000 or more
• Collaborative and flexible, able to lead and support stakeholders
• Excellent written and verbal communication across diverse audiences
• Understanding of how marketing supports development strategy
• Experience growing unrestricted and general operating revenue

Responsibilities

• Develop and lead a comprehensive fundraising strategy with annual revenue goals
• Grow and diversify revenue across institutional and individual giving
• Lead and develop the Development team and operations
• Cultivate and steward key funders and prospects
• Collaborate with executive leadership and the CEO to expand philanthropy
