Job summary

Annapolis Symphony Orchestra in Annapolis, MD seeks a Senior Director of Development to drive contributed revenue for the Orchestra and Academy. Reporting to the Executive Director, you will shape a comprehensive fundraising plan and cultivate major gifts, annual giving, grants, and partnerships.

Qualifications

• 5-7 year minimum nonprofit fundraising experience with leadership.
• Proven success in cultivating major gifts and growth.
• Experience across individual giving, annual giving, campaigns, and stewardship.
• Experience leading foundation and government fundraising, including strategy, proposals, renewals, reporting.
• Bachelor's degree or equivalent; arts and culture experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Develop and execute an annual development plan with revenue goals, priorities, benchmarks, and accountability.
• Lead all contributed revenue efforts including major gifts, annual giving campaigns, and sponsorships.
• Oversee foundation and government fundraising through the Director of Civic Impact and Deputy Director of the Academy, including strategy and reporting.
• Manage a major-gift portfolio, cultivate, solicit, and steward donors for multi-year commitments.
• Collaborate with executive leadership and board to translate priorities into funding opportunities and donor engagement.
