Job summary

The Boys & Girls Club of San Marcos seeks a Senior Director of Development to lead strategic fundraising, grow a high-performing team, and manage a personal donor portfolio while partnering with the CEO and Senior Leadership Team to achieve $1.6M in annual philanthropic revenue across individuals, foundations, grants, and events.

The role reports to the President & CEO, is full-time and exempt, with a bachelor's degree and 5+ years of fundraising experience; CFRE preferred.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree required; CFRE or related fundraising credential preferred.
• 5+ years of progressive development/fundraising experience.
• 3+ years of experience directly managing and developing a team.
• Track record of meeting or exceeding revenue goals in a seven-figure portfolio.
• Experience with events, grants, and corporate giving a plus.

Responsibilities

• Lead a four-person development team and set annual revenue goals.
• Cultivate and solicit major gifts and manage donor portfolios.
• Partner with the CEO and Board on fundraising strategy and donor engagement.
• Oversee signature events and annual appeal campaigns.
