Job summary

Girls Inc. of the Valley in Holyoke, MA, seeks a Director of Development to lead the full fundraising function—individual giving, major gifts, grants, events, and corporate partnerships. You will report to the Executive Director and sit on the leadership team.

You will build donor relationships, manage a small team, oversee the donor database and reporting, and guide capital campaigns to sustain and grow programs serving girls across the Pioneer Valley.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent in communications, marketing, planning or management.
• 5–10 years of fundraising and development experience with growing responsibility.
• Strong communication, storytelling, listening, and relationship skills.

Responsibilities

• Lead fundraising strategy across giving, major gifts, grants, events and partnerships.
• Manage portfolio of major and mid-level donors to grow giving.
• Oversee a small development team and donor database, reporting, and moves management.
