Job summary

Colmek, part of the Coda Octopus Group, seeks a dynamic Director of Business Development in Salt Lake City to drive the company’s sales strategy and capture new business, including work with US Navy and DoD prime contractors. Frequent travel to customer sites and tradeshows is expected, with BD activities spanning Panama City operations.

You will lead development of programs, coordinate with senior leadership, and shape proposals and marketing materials.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in a technical field is preferred.
• Strong understanding of engineering concepts.
• 5+ years of experience selling engineering services in the DoD space.
• 5+ years of demonstrated sales success in the Defense Industry, especially as a supplier to US DoD prime contractors.
• CRM system experience is a plus.
• Navy experience strongly preferred.

Responsibilities

• High-energy leader driving the company’s sales strategy.
• Identify and close sales opportunities to meet annual quotas.
• Develop and execute a Business Development Plan aligned with strategic goals.
• Build and maintain customer relationships with NSWC Panama City and other key agencies.
• Develop marketing materials and contribute to technical proposals and quotations.
• Travel extensively for events, customer visits, and sales calls.
