For our client, we are seeking a Senior Director of Data Platform Engineering to join the team of a leader in the Finance & Insurance space.

This leadership role will guide the strategy and execution of a shared data platform that supports engineering teams and strengthens the reliability of critical data pipelines.

The position will partner closely with engineering and cross-functional stakeholders to modernize data architecture, reduce technical debt, and align infrastructure priorities with business needs.

In addition, the role will develop engineering leaders, establish strong operating practices, and help scale the data ecosystem across the organization.

Location: Remote - US based candidates only, no visa sponsorship available

Compensation: $261,000 - $357,200 annually

Responsibilities

• Lead and evolve the data platform organization, improving reliability in data pipelines.
• Set strategic direction and the roadmap for data infrastructure based on business and technical priorities.
• Modernize operational data architecture in collaboration with engineering teams.
• Develop engineering leaders and establish operating practices and technical standards.
