Job summary

Ladders is seeking a Sr. Engineer - Platform Data Engineer (Remote) to build and support data platform foundations enabling reliable, secure analytics and workflow execution.

The engineer will work across infrastructure, data engineering, and security to automate operations, improve data delivery, and strengthen platform performance. Responsibilities include deploying Airflow, managing Terraform IaC, building CI/CD pipelines for data workflows, and enforcing security and compliance.

Qualifications

• Eligibility for CJIS clearance; U.S. citizenship or Green Card required
• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or a related field
• 8+ years of experience in infrastructure and data engineering
• Advanced Python programming skills with 5+ years of experience
• Expertise in deploying and managing Apache Airflow
• Strong experience with BI tools such as Apache Superset
• Cloud platform experience across AWS, GCP, Azure, or OCI
• Proficiency in Infrastructure as Code
• Experience with container orchestration using Kubernetes and Docker
• Knowledge of DBT and OpenMetadata
• Strong SQL and data modeling expertise
• Experience with data security and compliance

Responsibilities

Job description

For our client, we are seeking a Sr. Engineer - Platform Data Engineer (Remote) to join the team of a leader in the Information Technology space. This remote role will focus on building and supporting the data platform foundations that enable reliable, secure, and scalable analytics and workflow execution. The engineer will work across infrastructure, data engineering, and security to automate operations, improve data delivery, and strengthen platform performance. This position also partners closely with engineering and data stakeholders to maintain high standards for compliance, observability, and developer efficiency. Location: Remote - US based candidates only, no visa sponsorship available. Compensation: $140,000 - $215,000 annually.
