Ladders is seeking a Senior Data Engineer to design and optimize data infrastructure powering analytics and data science initiatives. You will partner with cross-functional teams to build scalable pipelines and strengthen data governance across the organization.

This remote role is US-based with a salary range of $120,000 to $145,000 per year. You will evaluate emerging technologies and help shape enterprise-wide data integration strategies while driving automation and performance improvements.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Management, or a related field.
• 5+ years of experience in data engineering or related roles.
• Advanced proficiency in Python, Java, or Scala and expert-level SQL.
• Experience with Hadoop, Spark, Kafka, and cloud environments (Azure, AWS, GCP).
• Experience designing large-scale data warehousing and data modeling.
• Strong analytical problem-solving skills.

For our client, we are seeking a Senior Data Engineer to join the team of a leader in the Enterprise Technology space. This role will focus on designing and optimizing the data infrastructure that powers advanced analytics and data science initiatives. You will partner closely with cross-functional teams to build scalable pipelines, improve delivery performance, and strengthen data governance across the organization. The position also offers the opportunity to evaluate emerging technologies and help shape enterprise-wide data integration strategies. Location: Remote - US based candidates only, no visa sponsorship available. Compensation: $120,000 – $145,000 annually.

Responsibilities

• Design, implement, and optimize complex data pipelines using advanced SQL, ETL tools, and integration technologies
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to implement optimal data solutions for advanced analytics and data science initiatives
• Spearhead process improvements, including automation, data delivery optimization, and infrastructure redesign for scalability
• Evaluate and recommend emerging data technologies to build comprehensive data integration strategies
• Lead technical discovery processes, defining complex requirements and mapping out detailed scenarios
• Develop and maintain data governance policies and procedures

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Management, or a related field
• At least 5 years of experience in data engineering or a related role
• Advanced proficiency in multiple programming languages such as Python, Java, or Scala, along with expert-level SQL knowledge
• Extensive experience with big data technologies, including the Hadoop ecosystem, Spark, and Kafka, and cloud-based environments such as Azure, AWS, or GCP
• Proven experience designing and implementing large-scale data warehousing solutions
• Deep understanding of data modeling techniques and enterprise-grade ETL tools
• Demonstrated ability to solve complex analytical problems
