Job summary

TechTree is recruiting for a client to fill a (Senior) Director of Business Development – Analytical Drug Development role. The position focuses on growing GMP analytical services across the US East Coast, with a Philadelphia, PA area base and field-based responsibilities.

You will own new business across the eastern US corridor, selling GMP analytical and drug development services to pharma and biotech R&D teams. The role is open at Director or Senior Director level.

Qualifications

• 5+ years in BD / sales at a CRO, CDMO or related field.
• Experience selling in a GMP environment (CDMO or analytical testing).
• Solid understanding of GMP requirements for drug development.
• BS in Chemistry, Biology, Pharma or Life Sciences (advanced degree preferred).
• Experience with pharma and biotech clients across modalities (NCEs, antibodies, ADCs, vaccines).
• Willingness to travel up to 60%.

Responsibilities

• Prospect and win new accounts across the East Coast, from outreach to signed contract.
• Provide technical input, lead client presentations and support proposal generation.
• Negotiate contracts and build long-term partner relationships.
• Work with internal scientific teams to turn client needs into delivery.
• Track competitor pricing and offerings and help leadership size the market.
• Represent the company at industry events and conferences.
