Job summary

Lutheran Community Services NW is seeking an Associate Director of Advancement for the Compass division. You will lead fundraising strategy, donor engagement, and staff management to support health, justice, and hope across Washington, Oregon, and Idaho.

You will supervise advancement staff, cultivate major gifts, build partnerships with donors and community stakeholders, and align fundraising with organizational priorities.

Qualifications

• Five (5) years of progressively responsible experience in fundraising, development, donor relations, or advancement within a nonprofit or mission-driven organization.
• Bachelor’s degree in nonprofit management or related field; substantial relevant experience may be considered in place of the degree.
• Demonstrated success cultivating, soliciting, and stewarding major donors and managing major gift portfolios.

Responsibilities

• Lead advancement activities for Compass division, translating strategy into fundraising plans and measurable outcomes.
• Advise leadership on donor trends, community relationships, and opportunities to inform priorities.
• Cultivate, solicit, and steward relationships with donors and partners to expand support.
• Oversee donor portfolios, pipelines, revenue forecasting, and data management.
• Collaborate with team to coordinate fundraising activities and best practices.
• Direct the work of Advancement staff to ensure progress toward goals.
• Represent LCSNW with donors, faith communities, and community partners.
