Job summary

University of Richmond seeks a Sr Director of Accessibility Services to lead campus-wide accessibility initiatives, supervise staff, and oversee services for students with disabilities across all UR schools. The role also supports accessibility for employees, with education/outreach for the UR community.

The Sr Director will develop a shared vision, supervise programs, allocate resources, and serve on the Health and Well-being Leadership Team, ensuring compliance with laws and best practices.

Qualifications

• Knowledge of Section 504 of the Rehabilitation Act, the ADA, and related laws affecting higher education.
• Ability to interpret disability assessments and determine accommodations.
• Proven experience developing and implementing accessibility policies and practices.
• Ability to manage multiple tasks and deadlines in a complex environment.
• Working knowledge of assistive technology and accessibility accommodations.

Responsibilities

• Lead and supervise staff and allocate resources to support accessibility services.
• Plan and direct services for students with disabilities across five UR schools.
• Collaborate with HR, Facilities, and other departments on accessibility initiatives.
• Develop educational materials and outreach for students, staff, and faculty.
• Serve on advisory groups and lead meetings to advance campus accessibility.
