Job summary

Fidelity Investments seeks a Director of Mainframe DB2 Performance & Capacity to lead DB2 for z/OS performance, capacity, and resiliency across Fidelity’s mainframe platforms. You will drive performance analysis, forecasting, tuning, and optimization for complex workloads including CICS, batch, DDF/JDBC, and modernization efforts.

You will evaluate impact of changes on DB2 workload behavior, develop capacity models, and balance customer experience with cost.

Qualifications

• 10+ years in IBM z/OS with DB2 for z/OS performance or capacity management.

Responsibilities

• Lead performance analysis, forecasting, tuning, and optimization for DB2 workloads on z/OS.
• Develop capacity models and growth projections; drive recommendations balancing customer experience, resiliency, and cost.
• Partner with application, infrastructure, architecture, and vendor teams for production readiness, stress testing, and modernization outcomes.
• Guide incident analysis, performance investigations, and strategic initiatives; translate findings for senior leadership.
