As Director, Mainframe DB2 Performance & Capacity, you will provide technical leadership for DB2 for z/OS performance, scalability, resiliency, and capacity management across Fidelity's mission-critical mainframe platforms. You will lead performance analysis, forecasting, tuning, and optimization efforts for complex workloads spanning CICS, batch, DDF/JDBC, replication, and modernization initiatives. This role is responsible for evaluating the impact of application, infrastructure, and platform changes on DB2 workload behavior; developing capacity models and growth projections; and driving recommendations that balance customer experience, resiliency, performance, and cost. You will partner closely with application, infrastructure, architecture, and vendor teams to assess production readiness, stress testing, failover capabilities, and modernization outcomes. As a hands-on technical leader, you will guide incident analysis, performance investigations, and strategic initiatives while translating complex technical findings into actionable insights and recommendations for senior leadership.
The Mainframe Capacity & Performance team is responsible for performance engineering, capacity planning, forecasting, monitoring, and configuration optimization across Fidelity's enterprise IBM z Systems environment. The team partners closely with Mainframe Hosting, DBMS, CICS, MQ, Storage, Network, Application Development, Architecture, and key technology vendors to ensure the reliability, scalability, and resiliency of critical business applications and infrastructure. Together, we provide the insights and technical leadership necessary to support business growth, modernization initiatives, and operational excellence across the enterprise.
Fidelity is transitioning to a full-time onsite working model through a phased rollout across regions and roles. Currently, some roles and locations require 100% onsite presence, while others require less. Onsite expectations are likely to evolve as the rollout continues. This transition does not apply to fully remote roles.
