Nationwide Mutual Insurance Company seeks an AVP, Corporate Development in Columbus, OH to lead mergers and acquisitions, strategic investments and inorganic growth initiatives. You will coordinate cross-functional teams, oversee due diligence, negotiations and integration programs.

The role requires deep financial and strategic acumen, senior stakeholder influence and a track record of delivering complex transactions from identification to value realization.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in business, finance, economics, accounting, strategy or a related field.
• MBA or equivalent advanced degree preferred.
• Typically twelve or more years of progressively responsible experience in corporate development, M&A, investment banking, private equity, strategy, or related fields.

Responsibilities

• Lead the Corporate Development agenda and oversee M&A, strategic investments, joint ventures and other inorganic growth opportunities.
• Direct comprehensive opportunity assessments including market/competitive analysis, business-case development, valuation and risk assessment.
• Lead transaction execution from initial contact through due diligence, negotiation, signing and closing.
• Oversee integration planning and execution including operating-model alignment, synergy realization and post-close performance tracking.
• Coach and develop teams to strengthen strategic thinking and execution capability.
