Job summary

Nationwide Mutual Insurance Company in Columbus, Ohio, seeks an AVP, Staff Administration to serve as a strategic partner to the Office of the CEO, translating priorities into coordinated plans, decisions, and execution.

You will lead executive operating rhythms, guide enterprise initiatives, oversee budgeting and forecasting, prepare executive-level analyses, and align stakeholders across functions to advance enterprise and staff-unit objectives.

Qualifications

• Undergraduate studies in business or a related field preferred.
• Ten or more years of experience in business management, strategy, operations, financial analysis, project or program management, communications, and leadership.
• At least five years of management or leadership experience.

Responsibilities

• Serve as a strategic staff administration partner to OCEO leaders, translating priorities into coordinated plans, decisions, and execution.
• Coordinate executive operating rhythms, including leadership meetings, planning activities, agendas, materials, and follow-through.
• Lead enterprise and cross-business initiatives with plans, governance, and progress reporting.
• Lead development of the business-unit strategy with leaders to define priorities and measures.
• Oversee budgeting, forecasting, and financial management for assigned portfolios.
• Prepare executive-level reporting; synthesize trends and risks and provide recommendations.
