The role manages three event managers, oversees multimillion-dollar budgets, partners with senior leaders, and drives scalable processes, vendor relations, and innovative event design across BGCA’s movement—with up to 40% travel and a hybrid in-office schedule.

Qualifications

• 10+ years of progressive experience leading large-scale conferences, conventions, or enterprise events.
• Experience managing multimillion-dollar budgets and vendor contracts.
• Strong executive presence; trusted advisor to senior leaders.
• Deep knowledge of venue sourcing, housing, AV/production, registration and attendee experience.
• Familiarity with event tech platforms (Cvent, CrowdCompass, EventMobi).
• CMP or comparable credentials are valued.

Responsibilities

• Set the strategy for BGCA's national, regional, and role-based conferences and learning events.
• Partner with senior leaders and event owners to translate vision into successful experiences.
• Lead complex, large-scale events (>3,000 attendees) across multiple venues and partners.
• Build scalable processes, governance, timelines, and tools for the event portfolio.
• Identify capability gaps and develop in-house expertise across the team.
• Own budgets, forecasting, negotiations, contracts, and ROI measurement.
• Elevate attendee experience from registration to post-event engagement.
• Develop and coach three event managers to grow from execution to strategic partnership.
