Job summary

Goodwin Recruiting is seeking an experienced Senior Event Manager to lead the planning and execution of large-scale conferences, meetings, and association events. The role focuses on strategic partnerships with association leadership, managing budgets and vendors, and delivering high-impact experiences.

You will oversee complex logistics, coordinate speaker management, sponsorships, and exhibitor fulfillment while traveling up to 30% and supporting evenings/weekends as needed.

Qualifications

• 7+ years of professional meeting and event management experience.
• 3-5 years leading complex association conferences or conventions.
• Willingness to travel at least 30% and accommodate evening/weekend commitments.

Responsibilities

• Lead planning and execution of large-scale conferences, conventions, and association events from concept to reconciliation.
• Develop and manage budgets, timelines, vendor contracts, and post-event reporting.
• Partner with association leadership, executive boards, volunteer committees, and clients to deliver innovative service.
• Oversee venue logistics, accommodations, F&B, suppliers, and on-site operations.
• Direct cross-functional teams coordinating speaker management, sponsorships, and exhibitor fulfillment.
