The role emphasizes expanding AI, Databricks, and automated testing across the audit lifecycle, while mentoring teams and driving process improvements. Hybrid work in Chicago is offered with travel as needed.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in a relevant field; professional certifications preferred.
• 12+ years in internal audit, risk management, or controllership with leadership exp.
• Expertise in SOX, COSO, and audit standards with data analytics usage.
• Strong project management and stakeholder collaboration skills.
• Experience with large datasets and analytics platforms is highly desirable.
• Knowledge of AI-enabled audit tools and IT general controls is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Establish a dynamic, data-driven risk universe and long-range audit plan.
• Lead financial, operational, and compliance audits focusing on material risks.
• Embed AI, data analytics, automation, and full-population testing across audits.
• Leverage Databricks, Python, SQL, and Power BI to extract insights.
• Develop reusable datasets and analytics routines for engagements.
• Coach auditors in AI, analytics, and emerging technologies.
• Build strong relationships with leadership and serve as trusted advisor.
• Prepare reports for management and Audit Committee on significant issues.
• Recruit and develop a high-performing internal audit team.
• Ensure timely delivery within budget and audit methodology standards.
