Job summary

Northern Trust is seeking a Director of Internal Audit Data Analytics in Chicago to lead strategy, development, and adoption of AI, analytics, and automation across the Audit Services function. Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent relevant professional experience.
• At least 10 years of experience in internal audit, risk management, data analytics, technology, or a related field, including transformation leadership.
• Ability to modernize audit, risk, or control functions through data, technology, analytics, or AI.
• Strong ability to translate audit and risk challenges into scalable analytical or tech-enabled solutions.
• Experience leading multidisciplinary teams and communicating with senior leaders.

Responsibilities

• Define and own the Audit Services data analytics, AI, and automation strategy, aligned with priorities and regulatory expectations.
• Develop a multi-year roadmap to embed analytics and AI across audit planning, scoping, testing, and reporting.
• Lead the design and deployment of scalable analytics and AI-enabled solutions with governance and oversight.
• Chair the Audit AI Working Group and drive disciplined development and scaling of AI capabilities.
• Establish KPIs to measure delivery, adoption, and impact of analytics across audits.
