Job summary

Alliance College-Ready Public Schools Foundation is seeking a strategic Director of Development – Individual Giving & Stewardship in the Greater Los Angeles area. This role leads mid-level giving, the Annual Fund, donor portfolio growth, and two major fundraising events.

The ideal candidate combines fundraising leadership with analytics, collaboration, and a focus on building durable donor relationships that support Alliance scholars and communities.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree required; master’s degree preferred.
• Demonstrated success in donor cultivation, solicitation, stewardship and retention.
• Experience managing mid-level or annual giving initiatives.
• Proven ability to develop and execute fundraising strategies with multiple stakeholders.
• Residency in the Greater Los Angeles area; regular travel within Los Angeles; valid driver's license.
• Willingness to work occasional evenings and weekends.

Responsibilities

• Manage and grow a portfolio of individual donors with capacity to give $2,500 to $25,000 annually.
• Lead donor engagement cycle from identification to gift closure, renewal and upgrading.
• Develop mid-level giving and Annual Fund strategies to grow unrestricted and other support.
• Oversee fundraising events and sponsorships to secure new sponsors and renewals.
• Collaborate with leadership and volunteers to improve donor experience and retention.
• Supervise operations and reporting, ensuring accurate Salesforce data and timely gift processing.
