onsemi seeks a Senior Director of IGBT Technology Development to lead the development and qualification of silicon IGBT technologies for industrial and automotive power conversion applications. This leadership role is critical to driving innovation and commercialization of next-generation power semiconductor devices and modules power solutions.

This role requires a strong understanding of power electronics, device physics, and fabrication processes, plus leadership to guide teams and collaborate

Qualifications

• Master's degree in Electrical Engineering, Physics, or related field; Ph.D. preferred.
• Minimum 15 years in high-voltage power semiconductor device development and processing.
• Proven leadership experience managing engineering teams and complex programs.
• Excellent communication and cross-functional collaboration across global teams.
• Experience with FMEA, DOE, 8D, RCCA and systematic risk management.
• Willingness to travel and work across time zones.

Responsabilités

• Build, lead, and mentor a high-performing device/process engineers team.
• Drive development and qualification of next-gen IGBT technologies and initial products.
• Define and execute technology and product roadmaps.
• Collaborate with Manufacturing, Operations, Business Units, and Quality & Reliability.
• Lead cross-functional decision-making processes and align teams.
• Communicate status, risks, and forecasts to leadership.
• Represent the organization in technical and strategic discussions.
• Manage entire product development lifecycle from concept to market release.
