Job summary

Housing Resources, Inc. is seeking a full-time Program Director to supervise a wide range of programs and ensure their successful delivery.

The ideal candidate will bring five years of nonprofit leadership, grant management experience, budgeting skills, and a strategic mindset to grow impactful housing services in Milwaukee County. This leadership role offers a hybrid schedule, competitive benefits, and opportunities to partner with community organizations to advance HRI’s mission.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree or higher in a related field; master’s preferred.
• Five years of program leadership experience in nonprofit management, housing, or social services.
• Demonstrated ability to lead, coach, and motivate staff, foster accountability, and manage organizational change.
• Experience in grant writing, grants management, budgeting, and reporting.
• Knowledge of affordable housing, housing counseling, and HUD requirements preferred.

Responsibilities

• Provide leadership, supervision, coaching, and performance accountability for Program Managers and their teams.
• Assist in grants research, application, tracking donors, and grant reporting.
• Oversee grant compliance, deliverables, and funder reports.
• Support hiring, onboarding, and staff development.
• Monitor program performance and implement improvement strategies.
