Job summary

Kimpton Miralina Resort in Arizona seeks a Director of Engineering to oversee all engineering operations, budgets, and safety compliance. The role ensures safe, profitable hotel performance and asset upkeep across facilities.

The position requires strong leadership, long hours, and the ability to manage multiple priorities while maintaining a guest‑centric service standard. Travel may be required for company business.

Qualifications

• Minimum 5 years facilities management experience in a hotel or related field.
• 4-year college degree preferred; 2-year college degree with 3+ years of experience also acceptable.
• High school diploma or equivalent required; professional certification may be required by local codes.
• Stationary Engineer's license if required by local code.
• Ability to perform physically demanding tasks and lift up to 100 pounds occasionally.

Responsibilities

• Supervise and train Engineering staff per SOPs and safety standards.
• Create and post staff schedules according to Highgate Hotel standards.
• Develop annual department budget and financial forecasts.
• Develop and implement planned maintenance for property and equipment.
• Ensure compliance with ADA and all local, state, and federal laws.
• Lead energy conservation initiatives and safety programs.
• Participate in hotel safety committees and vendor contract administration.
