Job summary

Highgate Hotels is seeking a Front Office Supervisor for the Kimpton Miralina Resort in Paradise Valley, AZ. You will lead the front desk team to greet guests, handle check-ins/checkouts, and manage guest inquiries with a courteous, service-oriented approach.

The role requires coordinating with hotel operations to maximize occupancy, balance daily activity, and ensure adherence to cash handling and credit policies. A foundation in hospitality and strong communication are essential.

Qualifications

• College coursework in related field helpful.
• Experience in a hotel or a related field preferred.
• High School diploma or equivalent required.
• Computer experience required.
• Customer Services experience preferred.
• Flexible and long hours sometimes required.

Responsibilities

• Greet and welcome all guests at the Front Desk per Highgate standards.
• Maintain PBX console operation and hotel standards.
• Answer inquiries about services, facilities and hours.
• Log and deliver packages, mail and messages to guests and meeting rooms.
• Review Front Office log and Trace File daily.
• Handle guest inquiries regarding restaurants, transportation, and entertainment.
• Follow cash handling and credit policies.
• Know rates, packages and promotions as listed in the Red Book.
• Be familiar with in-house groups and event dates.
• Obtain information when taking reservations and quote rates accordingly.
• Understand hospitality terminology and emergency procedures.
• Manage check-ins/checkouts courteously and efficiently.
• Operate Front Desk computer systems and complete shift tasks.
• Perform bucket checks, rate verification, and housekeeping reports.
• Balance and prepare closing paperwork per standards.
