Job summary

The Cincinnati Insurance Companies in Gilbert, AZ seeks an experienced underwriting Manager to lead a team of western zone high net worth underwriters. You will monitor risk, shape guidelines, and drive growth across multiple states including AZ, CA, CO, NV, UT, WA, MT, OR, WY.

This role offers a competitive pay range of $110,000 to $185,000 with potential bonuses and stock incentives, reflecting education, experience, and performance.

Qualifications

• Minimum five years of personal lines underwriting experience.
• Current Property & Casualty insurance license required.
• Knowledge of excess and surplus homeowners’ market preferred.
• Knowledge of high-net-worth marketplace and wildfire exposure recommended.
• Ability to coach underwriters and lead meetings.

Responsibilities

• Manage a Western Zone High Net Worth Excess & Surplus underwriter team and territory.
• Oversee risk selection and develop underwriting guidelines.
• Drive territory profitability, pricing strategy, and growth across listed states.
• Coach underwriters, conduct performance reviews, and provide feedback.
• Lead production meetings and coordinate agency relationships.
• Support change initiatives and HR-related activities.
• Develop internal and external relationships with agents and field staff.
• Collaborate with field representatives on agency issues.
