Qualifications

• Requires Bachelor’s degree; Master’s degree or JD preferred.
• Current State of Texas license to practice professional nursing (as applicable) or equivalent regulatory qualification.
• Certified Professional Healthcare Risk Management (CPHRM) designation or ability to obtain within two years.

Responsibilities

• Establish and oversee proactive identification and mitigation of clinical risks across hospitals and ambulatory settings.
• Develop enterprise standards for clinical risk management practices and tools.
• Provide executive oversight of the organization’s event reporting system and investigate significant adverse events.
• Advise executive leadership regarding significant clinical risks and risk trends.
• Lead initiatives to reduce high-risk clinical practices and improve patient outcomes.
• Oversee risk management education and training for physicians, nurses, and other staff.
