Job summary

The role requires strong program management, regulatory knowledge and the ability to present complex information to Executives.

Requires advanced nursing licensure or healthcare risk credentials and leadership experience

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree required; Master’s degree or JD preferred.
• CPHRM designation or obtain within two years of placement in role.

Responsibilities

• Establish and oversee proactive risk identification and mitigation across hospitals and ambulatory settings.
• Develop enterprise standards for clinical risk management policies, procedures and tools.
• Provide executive oversight of the incident reporting system and ensure timely investigations.
• Advise executive leadership on significant clinical risks and trends.
• Lead initiatives to reduce high-risk clinical practices and improve patient outcomes.
• Serve as senior clinical risk advisor during major patient safety events.
• Develop and monitor risk management objectives, initiatives and KPIs.
• Oversee disclosure of adverse events and communicate with patients and families as needed.
