Job summary

The University Medical Center of El Paso (UMC) seeks a Director of PFS Informatics to lead patient billing and collections systems, ensuring regulatory compliance and alignment with the organization’s financial goals.

You will oversee system development, implementation, and evaluation, manage staff and vendors, drive process improvements, HIPAA compliance, and change-control policies while partnering with stakeholders across departments.

Qualifications

• Five years of experience involving clinical and patient financial billing and collections systems.
• Extensive experience in implementation and system support.
• Prior programming experience preferred.
• Five years management experience required.

Responsibilities

• Plan and direct the direction of patient billing and collection systems.
• Oversee development, implementation, and evaluation of system applications.
• Ensure HIPAA compliance and regulatory billing requirements.
• Lead long-term initiatives and complex implementations.
