Job summary

McKesson is seeking a Director of Software Engineering to lead Ontada's data engineering and product integrations, shaping the strategy for scalable healthcare data platforms and analytics. The role requires strong leadership across multiple teams and a deep background in cloud-based data solutions and enterprise web applications.

The successful candidate will partner with Product, Analytics, Data Science, Architecture, Security, and Operations to deliver reliable, trusted technology outcomes

Qualifications

• Degree or equivalent experience; typically 12+ years of professional experience with 4+ years in management.
• Deep experience designing and operating enterprise-scale cloud data platforms and pipelines.
• Experience delivering data capabilities for value-based care, population health, or clinical analytics.

Responsibilities

• Define and lead the technical vision for Ontada’s VBC data ecosystem, including cloud data platforms and governed data products.
• Build and deliver multi-release roadmaps that support value-based care workflows and measurable business value.
• Lead managers, architects, data engineers, and software engineers to build a high-performance culture.
• Establish standards for data contracts, lineage, observability, and data quality controls.
• Provide hands-on oversight of data architecture and modern patterns using Databricks, Spark, Python, SQL, and Delta Lake.
