Job summary

McKesson seeks a Director of Software Engineering to lead Ontada's data engineering organization. You will own vision and execution for scalable data platforms, pipelines, data products, analytics, and integrations powering value-based care programs.

You will guide teams through cloud data platforms, batch/streaming pipelines, data quality, governance, and interoperability, ensuring secure handling of healthcare data and strong collaboration with product, analytics, and operations.

Qualifications

• Degree or equivalent experience; 12+ years of tech experience and 4+ years in leadership.
• Deep experience designing and operating enterprise-scale cloud data platforms and data pipelines.
• Experience delivering value-based care data capabilities and healthcare analytics is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Define and lead the technical vision for Ontada’s VBC data ecosystem and data products.
• Build multi-release roadmaps aligning with product priorities and business value.
• Lead managers, architects, and engineers to build a high-performance data culture.
• Establish data contracts, lineage, observability, and data quality controls.
• Oversee data architecture decisions and modern patterns using Databricks, Spark, Python, SQL, and Delta Lake.
• Deliver reusable data products and integrations across clinical, claims, quality, financial, and operational domains.
• Ensure integration with enterprise web and SaaS applications and maintain compliance with healthcare regulations.
