Job summary

Energy Dome S.p.A. seeks a Senior Director of Interconnection & Grid Strategy to lead the North American interconnection, transmission access, and market-entry strategy for utility-scale storage projects.

Based in Boulder, CO (preferred) with flexibility for other locations, this leader will guide interconnection studies, queue positions, and risk mitigation across PJM, MISO, SPP, CAISO, NYISO, and other markets.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering or related discipline.
• 10+ years of experience in interconnection, transmission planning, grid integration, or ISO/RTO operations.
• Direct experience with PJM, MISO, SPP, CAISO, ERCOT, NYISO, ISO-NE or WECC.
• Strong understanding of FERC processes, generator interconnection procedures, transmission planning and NERC requirements.

Responsibilities

• Define and execute Energy Dome's North American interconnection strategy.
• Develop portfolio-wide view of transmission availability, queue dynamics, and market opportunities.
• Identify and prioritize the most attractive interconnection opportunities across North America.
• Evaluate and recommend optimal Points of Interconnection for utility-scale storage projects.
• Develop frameworks for interconnection risk, cost, and schedule impacts.
• Guide project siting decisions through transmission and interconnection analysis.
• Serve as Energy Dome's interface with PJM, MISO, SPP, CAISO, ERCOT, NYISO, ISO-NE, utilities and transmission owners.
• Monitor regulatory developments impacting project development and interconnection processes.
• Lead interconnection activities from origination through commercial operation.
