Job summary

GSMA in Washington, D.C. is seeking a senior technical policy liaison contractor to represent GSMA in national and international fora, shaping the evolution of mobile networks. You will engage with government, operators and vendors to advance standards and policy initiatives.

The role focuses on dual-use scenarios, AI-enabled networking, and collaboration with academic institutions and startups to foster innovation and member engagement.

Qualifications

• Training in Engineering / Telecommunications.
• Significant experience in wireless telecommunications; defence systems experience or technical policy exposure is a plus.
• Strong knowledge of 3GPP standards, evolving 5G & 6G architectures, ISAC, spectrum and network virtualization.

Responsibilities

• Represent GSMA within Washington in fora and groups on mobile network evolution and policy.
• Liaise with NTIA, ATIS and the U.S. wireless industry to gather consensus on network evolution challenges.
• Advise and participate in GSMA North America forums to accelerate standards and foster innovation.
