Job summary

TradingView is seeking a Senior Director for Market Data to own the commercial sourcing, licensing and economics of market data globally. You will shape pricing, renewals and enterprise agreements, while managing strategic relationships with exchanges and providers.

The role partners with Product, Engineering, Legal, and Finance to ensure scalable market data strategy. You will lead cross-functional teams, drive cost optimisations, and articulate commercial positions for major agreements.

Qualifications

• Significant experience in market data, ideally from exchanges/providers or related financial markets business.
• History negotiating directly with exchanges and data providers; led complex commercial negotiations.
• Deep understanding of licensing, pricing, and commercial models for market data.
• Knowledge of display vs non-display usage, professional vs non-professional users, redistribution, and audit concepts.
• Strong commercial judgement to improve outcomes by analyzing contracts and usage needs.
• Ability to build credible commercial positions from complex information and defend them in negotiations.
• Experience managing senior relationships with exchanges and major providers.
• Experience leading specialist teams and setting direction with domain experts.
• Ability to collaborate across commercial, product, technical, and legal topics.
• Excellent written and spoken English.

Responsibilities

• Define and execute TradingView's global market data commercial strategy.
• Own strategic relationships with exchanges and data providers.
• Lead pricing, tiers, enterprise agreements, usage models, and audit discussions.
• Identify cost reductions and better terms aligned with business needs.
• Evaluate consolidation of data sources and sourcing models.
• Establish proactive renewals and price review positions.
• Own the commercial/licensing framework for sourcing, usage, and distribution.
• Advise on display vs non-display usage and redistribution concepts.
• Lead discussions with audits, licensing questions, disputes, and changes.
• Partner with Legal to align commercial decisions with contract requirements.
• Build a fact-based portfolio economics view and develop business cases for major decisions.
• Provide senior leadership guidance on market data strategy and cross-functional impact.
• Support budgeting, forecasting, and financial impact analysis for major decisions.
