Job summary

State Street is seeking a Market Data Sourcing Vice President to drive cost‑effective market data strategies and contracts. You will lead negotiations, manage the Index category, and partner with legal and business teams to align commercial terms and usage rights.

You will oversee a sourcing team, analyze data for cost reductions, and ensure end‑to‑end contracting processes are timely, compliant, and scalable across global markets.

Qualifications

• 8+ years in category management, sourcing, procurement or vendor management in a financial institution or global organization.
• Bachelor’s Degree; a Master’s or Law degree is a plus.
• Proven people-management experience including coaching and mentoring; SME guidance.
• Strong contract language understanding: review, negotiate and draft market data agreements.

Responsibilities

• Understand market data needs across business areas and source products from optimal vendors.
• Manage the Index category and oversee a sourcing team.
• Lead negotiations and manage large, complex market data agreements.
• Provide guidance to stakeholders on market data sourcing and usage terms.
• Identify cost-reduction opportunities and mitigate risks in contracting.
