Job summary

State Street seeks a Market Data Sourcing Vice President to drive strategy and cost‑efficient Market Data products. You will prepare, analyze, negotiate, and execute market data contracts across multiple categories, with a focus on the Index category and leadership of a sourcing team.

You will collaborate with Legal and Business partners to ensure contracts reflect negotiated terms and usage rights, while mitigating risks and ensuring timely contracting processes in a fast‑paced environment.

Qualifications

• 8+ years in category management, sourcing, procurement, vendor management, and commercial negotiations in financial institutions or similar.
• Bachelor’s Degree; Master’s degree and/or Law degree is a plus.
• Experience coaching, mentoring and developing team members as SME guidance.
• Strong contract language understanding with experience in review, negotiation and drafting of Market Data/Index agreements.

Responsibilities

• Understand Market Data needs across business areas and source products/services from optimal vendors.
• Manage the Index category and oversee a team of Sourcing members.
• Negotiate directly and manage large, complex Market Data agreements.
• Provide guidance to stakeholders within Market Data sourcing.
• Analyze data to identify opportunities to reduce cost base.
• Mitigate risks and realize opportunities with process partners.
• Draft and review Market Data contracts, terms, and usage rights.
• Ensure contracts reflect negotiated commercial terms and usage rights.
• Identify risks in contract language and ensure end-to-end contracting timelines.
• Keep stakeholders informed throughout the procurement lifecycle.
• Collaborate with TPRM teams to follow policies and mitigate 3rd party risk.
• Ensure compliance with regulatory guidelines.
